We always like to leave cottages even cleaner than when we arrive - impossible here as it was spotless when we checked in! Donna was a great host and very helpful. Donna was a great host and very helpful with local knowledge. Secure bike storage and fast wifi were welcome as was the hot tub after rides.

Although it is close to a minor road and next to the owner's house it was quiet, peaceful and private with stupendous views.

The cottage is fantastic! It was very clean and tidy. The hot tub was amazing. We were not able to stay as long as we wanted because there was a storm which lead to a power cut in the area for a few days. Donna was super helpful and helped us to problem solve as well as recommending other accommodations that is available near the area. She also gave us a lot of tips to travel around Banchory. We are so glad that we have the opportunity to stay in the cottage at the end. Otherwise we wouldn't know what we would have missed!

Truly was an amazing stay at Drumhead... Great location, brilliant views, a very relaxing hot tub, good quality bbq, and fantastic spotless cottage.

Donna was really helpful and went the extra mile to find charging points nearby, she does really put her soul into this and the extremely clean, really really well-equipped cottage is proof of that.

We went as a couple and have to say the location was perfect with glorious scenic views (definitely take your best camera). You will be treated with lots of information about the nearby local spots to visit, there are tons of activities to choose from, from a trip to nearby castles to fishing, horse riding, beaches, and more. The cottage itself is amazing and you will likely want to stay a few days in the cottage and enjoy the very quiet, serene relaxing cottage and if the weather is good I highly recommend making good use of bbq and the tub - we were lucky enough to have decent weather and have to say the bbq was perfect, very easy to use.
Donna comes every morning to clean the hot tub, and you will feel that cleanliness reflects across the whole cottage.

Being an EV owner, there are charging spots nearby which was a definite plus for us. There is a tesla charger 6 miles away from the cottage for all those who are worried about charging. I had the old type 2 chargers so my supercharger was limited however if you are going on a trip to the nearby town likelihood you will find a supercharger especially if you have a CCS charger or a CCS adaptor - we didn't have this luxury but we still didn't really have any issues with charging...

To summarize I would highly recommend Drumhead cottage, as a couple or even as a group. You will not be disappointed in fact you will come out wanting to go back again.

We spent a fantastic relaxing week at Drumhead cottage. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well equipped, and very spacious. The outdoor space is a perfect size and we were made to feel like nothing was a bother. Donna even leant my son a goal for the garden! The hot tub was perfect, spending time in it day or evening was relaxing in such a beautiful setting. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, either straight from the doorstep walking or an acceptable drive away towards the coast or the Cairngorms national park. But simply chilling around the cottage was also enjoyable for us to relax and unwind. Would highly recommend.

Spent 5 nights in this beautiful cottage. The setting is idyllic and peaceful. The cottage is spacious, well laid out and equipped with appliances and furnishings of a high quality. Lovely outdoor space with garden furniture, bbq and….the hot tub. How relaxing to soak in the tub admiring the scenery by day and the stars by night! Donna is an excellent host who went above the call of duty to personally deliver an item I had mistakenly left behind. Cannot recommend Drumhead Cottage highly enough - we are hoping to return in the near future.
