The cottage, 7.5 miles west of Banchory, is ideally located for exploring Royal Deeside famous for its Highland Games in the summer. There is a wide range of sporting activities available locally, including hill walking, mountain biking, skiing, horse riding, climbing, fishing, there are 9 golf courses and a driving range within 10-30 minutes drive and an outdoor activity centre within 10 miles providing activities including go-karting, quad biking and 4×4 driving.

Banchory, Aboyne, Ballater and Braemar are all within easy reach by car and provide an excellent range of restaurants and shops. Days out can be planned round the variety of the many gardens and castles in the surrounding area such as Balmoral, Crathes, Drum and many more. Aberdeen, the beautiful ‘Granite City’, 26 miles away offers much of historical and cultural interest.
